Well he seems to be folding about as much as me... so it looks like he only has, 1.7, 1.7, & 2.3 running 24/7 (or something equiv.) I would put on more, but Ive run out of computers.

If everyone found one more additional computer to put folding on we might be able to hang onto 5th place for a ... no we won't but we may be abe to take 5th when the Cows take 4th a day earlier

Cow Update:

Now I can't read ducth but this looks ominous:

Quote:
I think they are tring to oragnise a "stampede" from 14th of Jan to thr 13th of Feb. This could not bode well I'm thinking.

An online translator generated this for a translation...

"The Dutch Power Cows participate to this project and organise now therefore of 14 January up to 13 February "Stampede" actively. At this moment we stand daily average 7th of the world, and we hope secretly that we during the stampede each day on the first place worldwide to come stand. If this will succeed depends on how many people to help, and you can be one of those people. Beside DPC'ers in hard and kidneys also people are for whom distributed computing have been most invited new in this mass hysteria participate"

Hehehe
well we will loose 5th that’s no question, but with some work by me I hope we follow you up the ranks... although we are about 200+ people short of your folding power.

Where all you Dutch people come from!? shouldn’t you be in Amsterdam getting stoned?!

Well the plan is for me to double my farms output as of today... then, on my own I will be folding almost as much as 2/3 of DPC

It certainly wasn't easy. There has been a huge effort on recruitment. And
subteams have been created to maximize output by creating a little extra
competition. Plus, a Stampede means more stats and we're all suckers for those

But have to hurry now, off to catch some Ozzies, Mooooh!!!

Well, that would make things interesting indeed! Competition is always a good thing, especially for the project.

About the new protein
The new protein is 105 residues long, and it is one we have worked on in Phase I. It is being used in order to compare results for the new algorithm. For the time being, we are keeping generation size at 100 structures.
Looks like it will be about the same. Just wondering WHY it hasn't updated yet? It has been hours past the changover data and the site still says down for changover?

Perhaps the large increase in the output of the DPC, ProCooling and several of the Aussie sites is pressing the DF servers hard. It wasn't long ago they had to change to updating on a 2 hr. bases to help things keep running smoothly.

I still think it will be interesting to see just how long the cows keep this pace. From that stampede post one month. Question them becomes how long to retake them.

I think I must have gotten it; I was running with 10,000 structures per upload and had 7 buffered. Now I see it's back at gen 1 and 100 per upload.

Well CRAP!
Down to 2 PC's again. My poor old 900 hard drive gave up on me.

Gonna try another drive I have laying around.
Although it may not be the hard drives fault ( this makes the 3rd HD that has gone belly up in the old thing).
Oh Well, I just use it for folding anyway. Quick reformat, load XP and hopefully it will be back on line tonight.
