Snap 1100 Fan
Anyone know if the cooling fan is supposed to run all the time? I have a rebuilt 1100 with a 300 gig maxtor. I have tried several cooling fans and none of them run. Including the original. When I plug in the power it "bumps" but that is all the movement I get.
Thanks! |

Re: Snap 1100 Fan
The opening between the back and HD must be covered for the thermal sensor to get a valid reading. The fan is thermal controlled. I measured the temp control range at one time but I can not recall what the numbers were. Some wire the fan directly to the HD power to make it run 24/7.
