What the hell?
I acquired a snap 1000 (80GB version) and its not booting (blinking led's, no response)
So, easy peasy, i decided to reinstall the software on the server....... SHOCK, not available to the public!!!! WTF?, how do i get it fixed? Do i pay for it to be reinstalled? If i knew this before hand I would never have purchased the thing!!! As it is now, im looking at salvaging the 80Gb hd out of it and dumping the rest as without the OS, its useless!! Does anyone have any "loopholes" as to getting it going without paying to get it done? P.S.: I am in Ireland and no way am I paying to ship it stateside for a reinstall! William. |

Re: What the hell?
Cool down histeria nevers gets anywhere.
Unless the MB failed, it can be saved......... Can you access the web interface? If not you have a v2 which requires the boot tracks to be loaded to the new drive. The SnapOS is the same for all SnapOS Servers. So just copy the boot tracks from another unit.

Re: What the hell?
Somebody here sorted it for me already, thanks!
But what the hell are they playing at with no re-installer? Its like having to send your home pc's hd off to microsoft every time you want to reinstall windows! It just dont make sense to me! |

Re: What the hell?
A lot of the things with these units don't make sense
But we plod along If we could, we would have another OS on them EDIT: Don't say it too loud, i could see them implementing it....
