Default when benching 3d marks

what good is it to get a higher score using modified drivers?
everyone should use the same drivers, its about hardware not the software.

yeah but usually its the vidcard. not the miniboy modded drivers lol

You could argue that having the fastest drivers better shows what the hardware can do.

for the all out competitions for top spots on futuremark sure do what you got to.
but for regular users it makes it really hard to tell what is a good card and what card sucks.

3d mark isn't that great for that anyway. Most reasonable reviews use actual games to show the performance differences.

Anytime you are looking at the "numbers" there are so many extra possible factors that any sort of comparison is weak at best.

Even just running Anti-Virus can make a huge difference. Then there are bios tweaks, OS tweaks. Simple things like disabling services can have a rather dramatic effect.
