peltier?
Can I use a peltier without water-cooling???
I've got ABIT KT7A-Raid with AMD Duron 700 and Alpha 6035 Heatsink. At 7x136=960mhz the core temp (or inside the socket?) gets up to nearly 45C when the case is off. Should i buy peltier without buying water-cooling too? How powerful peltier, and is it easy to install?

Warning: Severe temp swings when air-chilling a pelt. I'd say go H2O first, and if you're not satisfied, THEN add a peltier.
Grab yaself a bong.

You're going to have a tough time cooling a pelt with air cooling, I don't believe the alpha is anything like powerful enough for athlon + pelt cooling. Water will get you much further.

I wouldn't use a pelt on todays hot Athlons with a HSF. theres hardly a HSF that could dissapate 300 watts of heat. I would try raw water cooling first and THEN pelt it.
