Default Linking 2 PSus ATX as one

http://www.procooling.com/articles/h..._s_as_one_.php

Problem is: this one is for AT.
Can i do the same for ATX?

What do i do with the Green wire (the one that powers up the PSU)?

Thanks all.

SWAG:

Method one: just jumper the secondary PWRON line to the +5V rail of the primary PSU. That way, when the first PSU is turned on, the secondary will be turned on too.

Method two: run both PWRON lines from the PSUs to a buffer chip if you can't tie them together. If the input impedance on those two lines is too high to be driven simultaneously by the mobo, that is. Tying them together without a buffer chip is easier but may not always work (I don't know what the typical current driving specs is on most mobos compared to the imput impedances of the PSUs you might be using).

I used a different approach. I got a small relay for 5v/5v and plugged the command voltage to the PSU1 .

It has a very small delay (less than a second) and it powers up my second PSU by closing the Power_Good and a earth wire (black).

Then the PSU2 powers up the cdrom, the cdrw , the fan controller , the pump relay , etc etc etc... all the non essencial stuff .

PSU1 still powers the mobo , the hard drives and the 9700 and has a bit more to spare if necessary .

Works great , no need for tampering, no voided warranty and i can uninstall the thing in 10s.

beware of bad quality pics :

Cables ... and the relay(the small one, the other one is for the pump and a PWM with a 3A TIP32).
