Default Asus A7M266-D

I was just given this motherboard.
Im asking if someone know if this one can overclock both CPUs.
Looks like a nice folding machine.

Rather an odd forum for posting this question. . .

The Asus allows you to adjust FSB if you are in jumperfree mode. The VCore adjustment only affects CPU0, however, so it is difficult to get a lot out of the FSB. I used to run one until it died recently. With decent heatsinks and very low flow 60mm fans I was still able to run FSB=140 on some MP1800+ CPUs.

a friend is running 2 barton 2500+ @ 2128mhz.

he lowered the FSB to 133 and raised the multiplier to 16.

check the forums at www.2cpu.com they explain everything you need to know for running bartons on that mobo.

Thank you both.

I have decided to go to dual bartons in this case.
will have to delock them, but i think it is worth the risk.

Does any one of you know a site for modding this board?

Because voltage only afects CPU 0, but maybe by soldering a resistance in the right spot i can get the CPU 1 voltage higher also!?

EDIT: my board is version 1.04, voltage settings affect both cpus.

thanks again.

Another thing about this boad is that it has the four mounting holes of both cpus filled with solder!

I wonder if I can drill them safelly?

thanks!

Exacly what i needed

EDIT:
Finally have both CPUs L5 Modded working on the board.
Going to MOD the board for a multiplier of 16 or 17, and drill it to have 4 mounting holes.
