Whats the story on Maxi-Jet pumps?
I went down to a new pet store(they have a crappy website too!), and they have the Maxi-Jet water pump, like 3-5 models.
So instead of ordering and waiting(i'm impatient) for a Via 1300, I think I'm gonna look into getting one of these. Anyone know of a good flow I should chose. Back in my day 120lph was good. |
Yes I run two maxy-jets 1000 l/h models, connected in series to get dual head. They work great I run them inline they are small and quiet. Before that I had Eheim 1250 model, but those two connected in series gives me much better flow rate. So I recomend them.

Mind posting the picture of the pumps here?

That's not my case, I made this for my friend, I also used Maxy-Jet 1200 l/h in that case.
Here's my dual pump setup: http://www2.arnes.si/~mlivak/new/dual%20pumps.jpg |
I originally had a maxi-jet 1200, but I downgraded to an mp900 because my system was pretty restrictive and it generated some heat at the pump. Still, both pumps ran/run perfectly fine.

Yes, pc watercooling is very resctrictive, that's why I use two pumps, works much better then one larger pump...

I'm more than satisfied with my MJ 1000. Every recommendation!
