Whats the Autozone part number of a the basic 6*7 heatercore?

I'm looking at you BigBen :)

I thought it was 399009 at autozone, but thats a dollar more and has annoying top mounted barbs. I thought there was one that like the Dtek cores with outward facing barbs.

Thanks.

If you downloaded Airspirits database, you can look it up. Otherwise, I'd be happy to give you the corresponding heatercore4u model numbers.

Are you looking for max 6 by max 7, or are you looking for anything that's between 5.5 and 6.5 by 6.5 to 7.5?

Everyone recommends the Ford Econoline heater core that autozone sells for 28. I though there was a similar 6*7 inch model for $18, but I can't find it.

Ok, here goes!

Model# Height Width Thickness Inlet Outlet
2-610 6.25 5.5 1.3125 0.625 0.625
2-604 6.25 5.5 1.3125 0.625 0.625
2-729 5.875 6.75 2 0.625 0.625
2-723 5.875 6.75 2 0.625 0.625
2-719 5.875 6.75 2 0.625 0.625
2-702 5.5 6.25 2 0.75 0.625
2-598 6.875 5.625 2 0.625 0.625

2-567 6.25 5.25 2 0.5 0.5
2-551 5.25 6.625 2.625 0.625 0.625

(search param: 5 to 6 by 6 to 7)

None of those are for a Ford truck, except 2-729 (Ford Expedition), and 2-723 (Ford Windstar).

Based on the barb locations on all those models I doubt those will work for him.

However, I think the 2-273, 2-447, 2-456 or 2-720 may be close.

bigben2k 11-11-2002 08:03 PM

Well, they don't come with a standard barb! What's the point of using a heatercore, if it doesn't involve a little handy work?;)

I like 2-551. It's 2 5/8 inch thick, and has the tubes coming out the sides (if that fits in the plan!).

Here's another set:

2-710, 2-775, 2-761, 2-328, 2-470, 2-252, 2-262, 2-440 and 2-558 might be of particular interest, but you might have to cut the tubes on some of them.
