Edit: Ive found out one of the fittings was nickel plated steel - and so looked exactly the same as the brass ones. Im a bit annoyed that the shop sent me a steel one but then they look the same
Added some corrosion inhibitor for now. Ill clean it out in a few weeks...

Ive never had a problem before the res was added.

I have been running my silver/copper waterblock for over two years where the silver has been in direct contact with the wetted copper - soldered together (using the 4% silver solder awell).

Ive never noticed any problems with the silver and copper before. If the silver/copper are reacting, then its something compleatly unrelated to this current issue where the fittings in the res have corroded.

Based on this: http://www.corrosion-doctors.org/Air...eri-compat.htm
I dont see why nickel would cause a problem.. ideas?

Silver->brass is 0.3v which as you say could be a problem, but I have yet to notice any. I will be replacing the silver base of the gpu block soon anyway with a copper base which should perform a lot better

The highest potential would probably be solder about 0.65v. Again, not noticed that getting corroded...and I have a lot of soldered joints in my loop.

I think the nickel plating must have just came off. Not a big issue, I disassemble everything and clean it in about 3 weeks.
