Every one that has tried with maybe 1 execption have failed due to the unit rebooting before they change a setting back. So Turn off auto reboot. Even doing this may not help if you change something that kills it.

Are you responding about the hack on setting the bios to model 0 so the v1000 can use two harddrives on one ide channel? I'm planning to use raid1 with my v1000. Is that a bad idea?
