You will need to reset the snap to factory. Then use assist.

You should only use a crossover cable if you are connecting to the snap directly from the PC.

If you are not using a router you will have to manually set the IP on your PC. Then use assist to set the Snap into the same subnet.

It only takes about 10 minutes to format a 80gig drive. Make sure the jumpers on the drive are set to Master.

After a reset and you still can not connect with Assist. It posiable that the OS did not copy corectly from your original drive.
