I suspect it may me a bad bit combo in the ram. Maybe he has an old pc laying around that has a DIMM's slot or two where he can setup mem86 to test ram for several days/weeks.

Did the ram chips have gold contacts or silver?

Wonder if these snaps support eec ?

I have a Unigen spec sheet from snap. Post the part no and I will see if its listed.

EEC is listed as an option.
