There is a slight change in speed, due to the larger overhead between v3 and v4. Once you make the jump to 4 I don't know any .??? performace data. They only updated MS AD support since they allready had 2k support.

The only v4 rev that I know of is 4.0.830, 4.0.854, 4.0.860

But now the Adaptec owns them now, there may not be any more. Since Adaptec had some products that directly competed against Snap we will just have to wait and see. Who know they may move the Guardian to the smaller units...... Wish, would require a hardware change. And would not be backward compatable.
