You have a v1 2000 (BIOS 1.2.180) There are no updates for the bios to allow for large disk support. This model had a single 52x52x15 mm fan. If you install 7200 rpm drives, you should upgrade to a fan that moves more than 8.5 cfm. The OS is stored in flashram. Just remove theold drives and install the the new ones. During the intial setup (approx 10 min) you will not have access. After the os has been decompresed you will be able to connect and monitor the disk format progress.

Click on the snapappliance logo and see what version of OS you are at.
