The bigest mistake people make is not knowing who's on first or is whats on second.

The procedure for copying the "boot tracks to img file" is posted in the wiki section.

It's not that much difference than copying disk to disk. Just need to change the " of " (output file) and tell it how much of the disk you want. The default is the complete disk.

"dd if=/dev/hdb of=/mnt/filename bs=1024 count=25"
