All of my ups units are sized to carry the equipment for 30-45 minutes. Which should be more than enough time. Even when they do the rolling black outs. I'm more concern on shutting them down cleanly.

Not saying make a simple timer and Solonid to push the button would not work. It's just alot of trouble for simple function.
