The unix file system it self does not have a trash can. That is a feature that the windows shell adds.

Adaptec would be be glad to take you money, and then tell you they can't help you. But you can try.

You might do some research on how the XFS file system handles file/folder entrys. You may find some one that wrote a utility to do just that. If you are dead set on recovering the file, you do not want to be using the snap. Any activity could easly over write the space.
