Snap OS is built off of FreeBSD, which is unix NOT Linux. If you mounded the drive in any other file system, you proably damaged the MBR, and drive table. So you may have just lost your data. FreeBSD 6.1 added support for the XFS file system. You must turn the flags on for support. As far as I know, know one has tried it.

Normal the only way to read a snap disk is with another snap.

What error codes were the led flashing on the 1100?
