The v2 1000 has the os stored on the hd. The only way to revive it is to preload the hd with the help of a image file. The Snap OS occupies around 25meg of the hd. If your HD spins up sometime you can retrive enough to boot it, ~15meg. Or copy the boot tracks from another working snap. Instructions located in the wiki section.
