If your unit has not had the MB mods as posted, you will have nothing but problems with larger drives. This is to remove noise.

Try reolading the OS, I've had a couple that required 2.

Moving from v2 to v3 can generate problems. The starting point on the HD's are calculated differently. Reason it a good idea to reformat. This will not cause a problem unless a HD fails.
