My 4500 had no password on the bios.

You should go into bios and activate the watchdog function. This will force the snap to try all drives for a working drive. Once watchdog is turned on, a timer will start after a boot failure. After 5 min it should reboot off of the next drive. Continuing till all drives have been tested.

If that fails:
During the terminal monitor there should be an option for diaster recovery. This will allow you to reload the OS. This is the GSU file in the 100+meg range. If you have the CD's that came with the unit you should have a copy of what was shipped with it.
