With a RAID 5 configuration using 4 drives, you can loose 1 drive and not loose data. If you loose 2 the Array is lost. There is not enough parity data to rebuild the array. Your only solution is a Recovery Service.

This Apply to ALL RAID 5 Arrays. If you have a 7 disk array 2 drives can be lost. This is where the use of Snap10 exp is used. It can house Global Spares. So soon as a drive has failed it will automaticaly picked up and start the rebuild. This gives a Storage unit and operators more time to replace failed drives.
