No disk led, not even a blink???????
Can you tell if the HD is spinning???
The early 1100's and 1000's had a time delay before the HD would spin up. I would try another power supply and or power every thing down and allow the system board to cool off. Then see it it will start up.
If the HD will not spinup..... check to see if it is getting power on the connector. Should have 12vdc on 1 pair and 5vdc on another.
Don't run with the cover off very long without covering the opening between the back and the HD. Other wise it will over heat. The sensor is at location with the opening un-coverrend it never sees the heat and will not kick the fan on and over heat the HD and System board. My testing shows it starts in the 150 -160F range.
