The OS in on all of the HD's with Guardian Units. You want to use a cold boot to dock the drive. And only put the drives in the corect position. Failure to do so could japordize your data. Make sure you keep track of the drive order and do not mix them up. If you need more info let me know, I will try to help yo out.

Just for info, were these Maxtor drives? And I hope you are installing something else, like interpise drives.
