Doing a factory reset , sets the ip to 0.0.0.0. You now are required to use Assist to do the initial setup. The 1x2 led pattern inidcates it did not find the OS. Using dd to copy the complete is not necessary. If you were changing drive size the markers are wrong requiring a format after the unit is up. So your data you were trying to save will be lost.
Assist can be had from addaptec on request, but ask them nicely. They are very moody people.
I would recheck to make sure you have the hd jumpers set correctly. Some hd need master/single drive. Some work with CS, and some do not work at all. Has something is the way snap handles the EIDE interface.
You may want to re-install your hd till you get the network set backup.
