It will work with one bad drive but once one goes I've seen the second fail right behind it in a very short time, <14 days. You currently have 80 gig HD's, depending on what os you have your unit will support HD's >137gig.
You need to make a copy of the OS boot tracks. If you loose you last drive your dead in the water with no way to revive it. The instructions can be found in the wiki sections and FAQ's.
Your Snap can work as a FTP server. Just need to turn on the ftp service, and add a firewall rule to forward port 21 to your snaps IP. Then setup a Dyndns so you can find it by name, unless you have a static IP. Make sure you use real strong Passwords on all accounts, specialy root/admin. Soon as you open up the port the hackers will be there, trust me on this one. The snap os works best with IE. For some reason it has trouble with most all FTP Client software. Probably due to the limited ram to operate in.
