Another option on the 520 to 4400. Since most all clone/disk copy utilities can copy linux. I've got notes somewhere onto which partitons the OS resides on. Try copying the complete drive from the 520 to the 4400. SATA to EIDE should not matter. Once you get it up you will have to do some serious cleaning anyway. If you have the converters SATA to EIDE or EIDE to SATA these should work if you can get the power connected.
