Your best bet is eBay. Buy a non working unit for parts, like one with bad HD and they did not find this site on how to recover.

You can use a std AT power supply and re-wire it to fit the Snap's plug. These may have enough to drive both units, if you have them close to each other. Just make sure the 12v source is heavy enough to carry the load.

The snaps use a switching type power supply. My guess is that these are better than the stated requirement. 2 250gig HD will pull more than 10amps on startup. So these have to beable to handle the surge. A weak PS will cause a lot of other problems.
