The 4500 runs on Guardian OS, not the Snap OS/firmware.
If you have your original HD's, the OS is on it.
Install the original HD into drive 1 position.
Install a new HD in to drive 2.
Do a cold boot, it will transfer the Guardian OS to the new drive.
Or it will boot in to the recovery console if you had the disaster recovery active when you shut it down. If it does you will need the GSU file to do a clean install. Should be on one of the CD's that came with your unit.

If you have done updates you should have a copy of the files some where.
