1 drive failure in Raid 1? Move the good HD to the Drive 1 position (0), make sure it is set as master. Do not connect the bad HD. If it does not boot off of that header move it to the other.

Now if you were in Raid 0, you will need the image file to recover.

Now if the bad drive spins up, you may have just lost the HD controller card. I have swapped HD controllers may time to recover data from failed HD's.

You should not Assist unless you reset the unit to factory defaults.
