On the first computer that I overclocked (celeron 500), I did it (newbishly) without added cooling or any real knowledge about adding heat and other system stresses... For a year it worked flawlessly at over 700mhz, but the NB burned out about 2 months after downloading seti... oops! So since ive decided to water cool my new system, I thought as long as im going through all the work to add water, might as well get a chipset water block as well. Put it inline after the CPU block and viola! It cant hurt, and putting it inline doesnt affect my overall water temp, maybe a half a degree... That may change once I start clocking more agressively though... who knows.
