I had a lot of trouble getting mine (as the web site didn't like me being from Canada). I sent a lot of emails, and in a couple I asked for the new version, but never said "upgrade" in the comments like they now ask, I really didn't know the difference until recently when HighVoltagePC posted the article.

So where abouts is your inlet, nearly dead center? I was under the impression that Danger Den was shipping the 1/2" versions in the new style to correspond with the greater flow potential of 1/2". Hmmm...

I wouldn't be to worried. Danger Den finally wrote me back and still won't specify measurements, but they said there wasn't a measureable differance between the two in the same system without the use of a peltier (and there still just speculating that the extra wall in the center of the core will aid heat transfer with a peltier due to more surface area above the core, but not sure).
