How can i eliminate the Bards?

if i can get a pair of the straight 1/2in metal bards for free, i'll use those

here is some stuff on my block

two 1/2" bards for water flow
1"H x 2"1/8W x 2"1/2L inches
or
2.6H x 5.3W x 6.1L cm
base and side walls are approx 2mm, that means this is about 17mm deep, which is pretty deep

this block is pretty large, i almost covers up the wholes im going to use. i didnt pay attention to them when making the block .but it fits right over teh edges of them, and im going to make a plexi glass holder for it,

i dont have a digicam so i'll try to see if i can get something to make pics
