Re: SNAP 1100 - no Disk light
That's not good.......
No disk led, not even a blink??????? Can you tell if the HD is spinning??? The early 1100's and 1000's had a time delay before the HD would spin up. I would try another power supply and or power every thing down and allow the system board to cool off. Then see it it will start up. If the HD will not spinup..... check to see if it is getting power on the connector. Should have 12vdc on 1 pair and 5vdc on another. Don't run with the cover off very long without covering the opening between the back and the HD. Other wise it will over heat. The sensor is at location with the opening un-coverrend it never sees the heat and will not kick the fan on and over heat the HD and System board. My testing shows it starts in the 150 -160F range.

Re: SNAP 1100 - no Disk light
Thanks for response.
Good news and not so good news. Good News - there is nothing wrong with HD as set works in another network environment (under 192.168.168.1). Bad News - But at home (where it is intended to be used; under 192.168.1.1), it stay as previously described. Does it have anything to do with the IP. Did a IP reset (as per wiki) and no effect. Appreciate any advise |

Re: SNAP 1100 - no Disk light
Under the 192.168.168.1 net, connect and change to DHCP. Then move to your home network.
Or try running assist and see if it locates it. Normally after a IP reset it set to 0.0.0.0. Assist is needed to locate and change the IP.
