SNAP doesn't boot anymore
At work I was given a SNAP 4200 to manage, but I only managed to crash it...
It cannot boot anymore, it stops after uncompressing linux, while booting. It doesnt seems to be a hardware problem because I succeded to start it with a linux live CD. What can I do? thanks all for your help. |

Re: SNAP doesn't boot anymore
The Guardian OS is quite different than the Snap OS. But it has some recovery procedures built in. It should reconize the crash and allow you into maintance/recovery mode.
Download the Admin maunal for the Guardian OS from Adaptec Web site. Also search there knowledge bas while you are there. Sorry, I have just started using mine, and have not yet started testing my 4500 for failure modes and recovery procedures.
