Hard drive size limits, Snap 1100
After a successful upgrade to a 120Gig hard drive a few months ago, I am now really wondering if I can get past the 137Gig barrier, but not really wanting to fork out $100 just for the sake of trying.
Is there any way to tell? I have a Snap 1100, OS is 3.4.805, hardware 2.0.2, BIOS 3.4.758. I know that the OS was the last V3 OS available, and was quickly yanked from Snap Appliances site when it was there and DOES support large drives, but I just don't know about the hardware/BIOS. -Alan |

Re: Hard drive size limits, Snap 1100
Your HW and BIOS should support large disk with out any problems. The 1100's haven't had any problems, that I'm aware of. Just copy your boot tracks over with dd to the new drive. Then enter "co de format 10000 /reinit" to correct the xfs disk table. This cmd is required any time you transfer the OS from one source to another.
Most all with HW and BIOS >2 have worked. The only known problems are with the early 2000 (v1) and 4100's.
