Pump
I wonder if there is anyway to make so that for example a Eheim 1048 pump starts and stops with the pc. So I don't have to plug in the pump every time that i'm going to start my computer

i think u have to splice the wire and connect it to the PSU. something like that. remember seeing a guide at ProCooling about it.

This is a FAQ.
1 - buy a socket plug and mount it in your case. 2 - wire the socket plug to your PSU socket plug - yes unplug your PSU before... 3 - on this wire, install a 12V relay triggered by the PSU (yellow wires) 4 - install a by-pass switch around the relay so you can turn on the pump 24/24 or for filling the system 5 - do not forget spike protection diodes around the relay. Many schematics and how-to's exist around the web. |
