Are they any cool things you can do with the JVM installed/enabled?
Is there any file serving performance degredation for having the JVM installed? Is there any file serving performance degredation for having the JVM enabled? Thanks |

JVM is used with web pages if you are hosting. Mainly used on the 4100 on up with a min of 128 meg. It requires a min of 24 free to run. Which kills the 1100, 2200 models that you can't upgrade the ram in. Can be used for secure login too.

Do you see any disadvantage to loading snap_jvm_40829.sup and leaving the JVM deactivated? Thanks

You will use a couple of Megs of HD space
Installed - No Enabled - Yes, as david said, it uses memory

Don't think so, that version came with 4.0.830. If you don't have 128 meg of ram, JVM want startup.
