I'm really sick of asking someone help me to use my snap server 2200. ( I got a OS but boot image loss is a BIG problem... therefore, OS image is useless.)
Is there anybody using FreeNAS for Snap Server 2200? When I saw the article "FreeNAS is working for Snap Server 4500", I thought, it might working on my snap server 2200, and I tried it... but I wasn't work on my server. What should I do? Should I really have to give up using snap server 2200 if I can't get the boot image such as snap2200.bin? |

The 4500 is a P4 Pc with special hardware. Where the 2200 is a closed system. You need to locate the Snap2200.bin (zip, rar, img) file. Users have found these on BT system. I have no idea which one. Just need to search. If you know some one with a 1100 it (image file) can be used to boot the 2200, then re-install the OS once it up so it will load the proper files specific to the 2200.

That is, if there is no Snap2200.bin file in BT, Donkey, and other file share system, then I couldn't use this junk machine, right? I had searched for several months and sent a e-mail to many people but never answerd except you(of course you talked about LICENSE that image file had). Still searching but hopeless...
Now I have to make a plan throwing it away in my home. Thanks anyway! |

Try searching using just 2200 or just snap, you may get more hits. These files have been called may things over the years, use wild cards may help. Even searching for 1100snap may be enough to get it to boot, so you can install the SnapOS. None of the flashram models (1000v1, 2000, 4x00) will work, so your choices are limited.
