Default New to servers SNAP 2000 Heeelllppppp!

Hey all I just got an old Snap 2000 server up with 2x 30 gb hds with SW v2.1.340 and HW v2.0.0. I am sooo new to this server thing tho. I am able to see this puppy on my "my network places" but I can not get it to be a logical drive to have actual server functions. How in this world do I do that? I can easily put items into my network places and view and d/l via web. I want to be able to access and upload files from my home to the server. Any ideas on what to do
thanks,

If it's clean you need to setup the drives (format), add a mounting point/share. Add users using the security Guide. Once this has been done you should beable to start moving files over to it. If you want to auto connect, you need to MAP a drive to the server.

You need to do some upgrade with the old unit. Contact Adaptec via email and request the v3.4.807 OS and Assist. It's free if you ask them nicely. They have not been releasing v4 with out $$$.

If your running Vista, The SnapOS is not compaitable with it. Read the FAQ's (link in my Signature).
