I'm sorry, but i doubt that is real. 289mhz front side bus? that's just ludicrous. I saw an article on how u can fake the system and it will report bogus benchmarks, They had one at 36,000mhz. It looks pretty real too because it isn't a marked up pic.

36GHZ would be cool with my GeForce90

he probably didn't edit that in photoshop. . .more than likely the benchmarking program is real.

interesting fact: I'm sure many of you know about the CS-speed hack right? well did you know that it also fools benchmarking proggies into showing you computer to be faster than it really is? heh, give it a shot sometime. . .kinda funny.

fact in effect: here's my little comp it's a pIII 600, I'm only using a standard HSF that intel supplied.

pretty sweet eh? Intel must make some wicked HSF's or I am just way to cool. . .

well, there's a problem with that. . .see you don't HAVE to set up an extreme overclock, you can just tweak it up a hair higher than normal. It would be a great way to win an overclockers' contest. . .hell you could use practically any benchmarking proggy they give you and you could display the same results. ever since that cheat was released you now can't apply to much trust to ANY claims at overclocking.

here, I just put another picture on that page that I linked to earlier. It's shows my 600 running at a rather reasonable, and believable, speed. except there's one thing wrong. . .I haven't overclocked anything. my 600 is still running with a stock HSF with with no modifcations of anykind. . .it's a fraudulant overclock. and it took me about 1min to do.

the guys who discovered that hack did a good job..

WCPUID... oke..

but sisoft sandra? I don't understand.. cause there has to be some real benchmarking involved..
or the timing is screwed up.

and Q3 scores, what about that?

so then it has to be a mixture of fooling the benchsprogs to read the false fsb-settings and make the timing run slower.

Q: if u oc ur comp to a certain fsb, and u compare the results to a normal fsb with that hack.. is there any difference??

gimme that hack!!

from now on i only believe the photoshots of a bios-startupscreen.

EVERYONE of the will fool you, even quake3 will give you a fraudulent overclock. IT's all because of how this benchmark works. What it does is make your computer think a second is longer than it really is.

so when your computer does any kind of benchmarking it will think that it did something like two seconds worth of work in one second. basically it's the timing that screwed up. Effectivly making your computer appear to be twice as fast as it really is.

best part about the hack is that I can run the benchmark with you staring over my shoulder and fool you in person. the hack is incredibly devious and just needs someone to make a more refined version for overclockers.

since it runs within windows bios screenshots should still be legit. . .but some photoshopping on that will make it lie. so a site can give a ton of different benchmarkings all making you think that they got a processor to a point that they really could never have.
