Default DOH PVC WONT UV LIGHT THROUGH

HI GUys my system has 3/4" 1/2" and 3/8" pvc tubing but my black light wont iluminate the dyelite in my water!!!!
can you get silicone tubing in the above sizes and will my dyelite glow????

that should go a fairly long way considering a cap full did a whole buvket for me!!!!

www.mcmaster.com carries all the sizes you list in silicon. Look in rubber tubing. I also hear tygon is good, but it's a form of PVC, so I don't know how it affects UV.

Also for the Darkhorse, try calling your local semi-truck shop. it's common use is for detecting leaks in big trucks, and I got some for free from my local Peterbilt dealer. You only need about a drop per litre.

Is this true with all pvc tubing? Any one else use dye-lite? What tubing do you guys use? Sil,icone is cool, I just don't like how it kinks so easily.

Think i found the problem
I was using a UV strip light
But I tried it with a Black light (one with those purple filters on them and it works great but i need to know where to get a 12v 8w 12" black light or one of the purple filter things???
