Still wish they'd show the inside. We'll have to wait for a review, I guess.

If they were proud of the internals, they'd show 'em.

If they were not at all concerned that their product would be ripped off before it got to market, they'd show 'em.

Quote from Swiftech site : " Completely unrestricted chamber to minimize pressure drop."
There's nothing inside, empty volume. Have a look to the last page in the PDF, you'll see it. No need more for a single chipset. |

same as mcw20, have one, does the job -> what more to ask?
about the DFI, the manufacture is the problem, IMO, hard as it is to change even to a different passive heatsink let alone a waterblock, does not pay to be "different" ![]()

i would go further than 20W.
the nforce4 sli chip (example) seems to be hotter than that -> large HS and active cooled.

We could do this through reduction.... granted I don't have exact numbers
"Typical" system: MB: DFL NF4 SLI CPU: 3800 X2 GPU: 6800GT (x2) RAM: 1gb DDR 400 HD: 250GB WD Fans Such a system pulls about 350w. Assume that, other than fans and HDs, all electrical input is put out as heat (no mechanical work done, therefore heat is the only option). HD -20w. RAM -10w. 6800GT(s) - 80w apiece. 3800 x2 -100w (anyone know the TDP off the top?). Knock another 20w for fans. That leaves us with 40w. Can't imagine a chipset putting out that much. Anyone else want to fiddle with these numbers? The way I look at chipset WBs.... one less fan in the system. |

![]() Even if the numbers were accurate, electronics power draw does not equal power into heat...
