Default CIFS mount from Linux

I have a problem trying to create a CIFS mount from Linux on my 2200 Snap.
Once the mount is created I can't copy files to the share, ONLY THE NAMES!
Similar to the touch command in UNIX.
I have tried this mount from a number of Linux boxes and always get the same result.

': Input/output error

is there something wrong with this command line.

mount -t cifs -o user=drm,password=dram //192.168.0.146/abcde /hdd

User and share have already been created. Permissions are ALL access for everyone.
I can use the same command to establish a share on XP and 2k boxes.

Default Re: CIFS mount from Linux

Sorry I can help you with this one. I think if you mount it as an NFS will work better.
