revamping my system. What block to get?

What Block should I get and why? I may be getting pelt(s) soon so that option would be a plus.

I'm running:

XP1900+@1800mhz(more to come soon)
D-Tek Heatercore
ViaAqua 1300

one Pelt: I'd go with the TC-4.

two pelts: you have to stick with your maze 2, unless you want to get into some customizing (if yar crazier than me!).

You just have to be a little creative.

The TC-4 had thick corners, which could be tapped to mount a coldplate. If you can afford it, get a silver coldplate ($100us).

The Maze 3 is a great looking block. I think that most people that made the switch from a Maze 2 got a couple of extra degrees.

Personally, I don't like the Maze 2. I think that the channels are too restrictive, and not milled with much care, resulting in high flow restriction. I prefer the new spiral at dtek, and of course the TC-4.

In theory, the TC-4 performs better because of the turbulators, but it'll be very restrictive. Also in theory, the new Spiral performs better because it allows more flow (i.e. less restrictive), probably more than most blocks.

Either way, I believe that the best performance can be achieved with the highest flow, and it would be very easy to do that with the new Spiral. It'd be a little harder to get a very high flow out of the TC-4, given the same pump (as above), but the performance should be equal. A TC-4 with a very, very powerful pump would probably outperform everything.

Right now, that's what I'm considering: a TC-4 and a very, very powerfull pump. I just have to find a pump that's quiet...

I don't know about "trying out" the TC-4 but at leat I can say that I have one running in my system right now

AS for its performance........................At least it didn't go up in temps. My first block was a BE Cooling "Jagged Edge" waterblock and it worked fine. I moved to the TC-4 for several reasons: looks WAY cool, uses MB mounting screws vs. clamp that the BE block required, used something to "sturr up" the water, and it is a "snake" design (AKA water goes in the bottom and always moves up to the top and then exits).

Both the BE Block and the TC-4 hold a 6-7degree delta from my case temps.

I think my radiator is maxing out instead of the block so I am planning on adding a modded Black Ice II to my rig to get my temps down some more.

Otherwise the TC-4 looks like a real winner.
