You have the latest BIOS for the hw you have. Coming from v1 OS you will need to install SnapOS v2 before you can go any further. There was also format change between v1 and v2. Assist will have to be used with Win98, XP or newer will have a problem.

Thanks for the information.
So I need to update the os and bios with v2 before I can go any further? I have version 3.4.805 and version 4.0.860 but I don't want to attempt to update to either of these until I figure out if I need to go to version 2. Thanks again for your time. |

Even though Overland has released these files, all files should go through Overland. They have been sending links to older files on email request.
There are not may old Guardian Snaps that have not been upgraded. So I don't see these in high demand any more.

Speed may not always be important, but when you are talking many GB of data, at snail network speeds, it just doesn't work out well. i.e. The 4100 may have a limit of 4 x 128GB, but what does it matter? Do you know how long it would take just to back up a full 4100 at it's fastest xfer rate? O U C H! |
