Is it just me, or did some message threads and PMs from yesterday get dumped from the forum? I distinctly remember seeing some posts I replied to and both those posts and my replies are gone. Also, some PMs I received and sent yesterday are gone also. Either that, or I am totally losing it...

The site was down this morning, at first with some MySQL error messages, then a one-line page saying "Doing some work on the server"

Maybe the "work" resulted in the loss of your posts...

...or maybe your posts resulted in the "work"

As in the site news, The server had a big problem last night and I had to restore from a full server backup that wasa month old then restore my offsite SQL backups that happen nightly to bring everything back up to date.

But "up to date" was 12 hours old. So 12 hours of posts were lost. Sorry about that! but still having a server be reloaded from scratch and only losing 12 hours of data isnt too bad

Yup, and it happens. A friend of mine and I run a gaming forum, but on SMF, so I totally understand...
