Default Interesting approach to pin style blocks...

This link is ooold, but I came across it and it made me think:

http://www.benchtest.com/wcooler1.html

Not sure if it would be of any use or not, or even if the mathod is at all effective.

pins? hmm
what about converting an HSF that has pins,

like this one http://www.monster-hardware.com/reviews/mcx462+%201.htm
OR
the alpha pal 8045

the only problem is the aluminum pins and copper base

Hoot at overclockers.com has done this and got pretty good results from BillA's testing. Though it isn't the best but compared the same or better with comercially made blocks except the WW of course.

I think there is some hope for PIN style blocks. After making my Lemon Block I think there are much easier ways of getting similar performance.

It worked alright, and would do much better in Copper, but Istill think a couple pits drilled into the base of a flat peice of copper is just as good if not better.
