How much of a diffrence in temps am i going to get with this block against, say a maze 3 or 4. Im wondering if its really worth almost twice the price of the later.

I heard any where from 1 to 4 C :/
I think all the top blocks are close to one another and in the temp range we are running with water i,m not convince 1 to 4 C is going to help you OC a cpu anymore ![]() |

Did you read any of the 5 pages on the Maze 4 review?
I am guessing not if you are still considering buying the Maze 4. Read the posts and then make a decision, but in everyone's tests so far, the Maze 4 is worse than the Maze 3. |

It really depends on the power coming from the CPU, but 4 to 6 is a good estimate.

Stop the freaking pissing contest already with the one-liners, grow up, and answer the question with some facts.
All you are doing is posting meaningless drivel. Provide some info please. |

How about you all just stop arguing about something like that. A forum is to gather ideas from more than one person, not for just flaming someone for posting thier oppinion. Just let people have there own oppinions.

Ok.
http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/ Now the best block, which is WW, is rated at 0.19 C/W @ 1gpm. The block that resembles the Maze3 the most, would have to be the Swiftech5000, and I'm being really generous here! It's rated at 0.23 C/W. So for an 80 Watt source: 1- 80 * 0.19 = 15.2 degrees 2- 80 * 0.23 = 18.4 degrees So we've got a 3 deg C difference. To be more fair, I'll include the calcs for the Tsunami, which most of us know, performs better than a Maze3. 3- 80 * 0.25 = 20 deg, for a difference of 5 degrees. These figures are for the block only, with a flow rate of 1 gpm, and a fully running, and a bit overclocked CPU, emitting 80 Watts. |

Great response. A real class act.
Re-read the thread, and maybe you will figure it out on your own if you can ever see past your little ego. |

BB2K just posted the evidence he asked for. I am quite sure my one liner post to you was part of the problem, not part of the solution, and its my bad that i was too lazy to go get the hard data like ben did. But, now that its posted, the FACTS are known, and you are shown to be wrong. I hardly feel callng names is acceptable though, and i hope that now that you are confronted with evidence, you'll realize that you are in fact incorrect. If you read enough threads on the subject, you'll also find that people who switched to a WW found (often) a small but noticeable OC gain as well. |
